“I live in Hyde Park, Leeds, and work from my garden studio. I love creating notebooks using traditional bookbinding techniques. I use a variety of decorative papers, maps, or fabrics to decorate the covers, and each one is unique. They range in size from small pocket books to A4 size; I can make books to order. I also create cyanotype prints using pressed flowers from my garden.”

“I am a Kirkstall-based crafter with almost 30 years’ experience of different handmade mediums. More recently, I have become focused on fibre arts after discovering crochet a year ago. Although I am interested in all forms of crochet, I mainly produce amigurumi, or stuffed toys. These can range from tiny creatures that fit in your hand to giant plushies you can wrap your arms around.”

“I make hand-built ceramic vessels that have a definite use and make a beautiful addition to the home or garden. I fire at high temperatures and use a combination of texture, slip, oxides, and glazes to decorate my work. Using these techniques means that every piece is unique.”

● The barn is one of the main stone buildings. It is next to the café.
● The large barn doors will be open.
● The barn is on one level.
● The floor consists of stone slabs, brick, and wooden floorboards. It has an uneven surface.

Dogs
● Both assistance dogs and pet dogs are allowed. Please keep on a lead.
● Dog water bowls are available at the front entrance of the café.
Toilets
● Toilets are located in the café and in a separate block near the car park.
● Separate male and female toilets.
● Gender inclusive accessible toilets (one in the café and three in the toilet block).

● They serve a range of drinks, cakes and lunches, including options for children.
● Gluten free and dairy free options are available.
● Counter service.
● It is managed by Café 21 who are part of Sunshine and Smiles, the Leeds Down Syndrome Network. The café is run for and by people with Down Syndrome to offer training and work experience with the aim of creating job opportunities.
