“I work with brass, copper and enamel and create pictures and jewellery inspired by nature. I create punch needles, lino cuts and more recently mini mosaic pieces. The materials and processes I use are forever changing, in order to keep my work fresh and new. The underlying theme to my work is always underpinned by a good use of colour and nature. This year I will be joined by my mother, Josephine, who creates prints and mosaic pieces.”

Activity
Drop-in workshop. Based on Kerry’s poem, ‘This Part of Town’, you are invited to put your ‘love lines’ on the map. Write your own love letters to these places and people and share them on the map. This large map will then show the emotional topography of Kirkstall and West Leeds.

“Pyramid is a Leeds-based arts organisation. We invest in people with a learning disability, autism, or both, through the discovery, development, and disruption of the arts. Our goal is to help people discover the arts and develop their talents to become world-class artists. We disrupt the social and institutional barriers that prevent them from being recognised, supported, and celebrated. We do this through collaborative art groups, including a programme for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as providing one-on-one creative support and professional development opportunities. “

● The café garden is located though the barn and is a ‘sunken’ garden.
● There are two routes to the café garden.
● The most direct route is through the barn.
● The barn floor consists of stone slabs, brick, and wooden floorboards. It has an uneven surface.
● The other route is via the café. This pathway consists of raised stone slabs.
● The café garden consists of compacted mud and wood chip.
● There is seating in the café garden.

● The shelter is located between the classroom, café, and roundhouse.

● Both assistance dogs and pet dogs are allowed. Please keep on a lead.
● Dog water bowls are available at the front entrance of the café.
