Website Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to website accessibility

We strive to ensure that our online services are accessible to people with disabilities.

We created this website, taking the best practices and web accessibility guidelines into account. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and aim for the AAA standard.

Our access statement explains in more detail how we aim to achieve this.

Adapting your experience to your needs

We have made this website as usable as we can. You may have a better experience by changing your computer settings to match your needs.

For example, you might change the site’s colours, increase the text size, or have the site spoken aloud.

Known problems with this site’s accessibility

We know that there are some accessibility problems with this site, and we are going to fix them as soon as we can.

We are currently working to fix:

  • Alt text is missing from some images. We were not able to create alt text for the 2025 artists’ artworks in time for the art trail weekend.
  • Some our font sizes haven’t been set responsively. We are changing our default font sizes from pixels to ’em’ values. ‘Em’ is a relative sizing unit that size up or down depending on the space available on the viewer’s screen, rather than a fixed size.

Contact us if you have any problems using this site

We are always looking to improve the accessibility of our site, so if you find anything on the site difficult, please get in touch. You can use the contact form or email us at info@kirkstallarttrail.co.uk.

To help us understand the problem as quickly as we can, please tell us:

  • the web address or title of the page where you found a problem
  • what the problem is
  • what computer and software you use.

All constructive feedback about the accessibility or usability of our site is welcome. And we promise to consider it carefully.
