“Sometimes a difficult or unpleasant experience can lead to an unexpected positive turn in life, and this was certainly the case for me. A serious injury back in 2020 left me signed off work, and it was then that I began learning to draw. I now work professionally as an artist, and my work has appeared in galleries and shows across the North of England. My lively urban landscapes and bird paintings aim to capture the energy of my subjects and to stir up an emotional resonance with the viewer. I am less interested in how things are in reality than in the impact they have had on us. I live and work in Horsforth, Leeds.”
