Jeanne-Louise Moys

Painting / drawing

“Life has taken me through many places, but I’m proud to have become a Yorkshire artist and part of this thriving creative community. I work both plein air and in my Otley home studio. My creative practice explores evocative, playful mark-making in paint and drawing media. My inspiration is mostly drawn from dance, emotion, music and nature. People often remark that there’s a sense of movement in my creations, regardless of whether I’m painting bees, dancers, flowers or the sea. Alongside my artist life, I’m a typography and visual communication geek in the School of Design at the University of Leeds.”
