Hannah Simister

Drawing / collage / textiles / zine-making

“As a multi-disciplinary artist, I’m drawn to the poetic quietness of form, movement and materiality. My practice weaves together drawing, collage, zine-making, and textiles, exploring feeling and memory through nature, shifting landscapes, and places I’ve passed through. Being neurodivergent, themes of grief, trauma and isolation emerge in my work. Alongside my practice, I work as an arts facilitator supporting learning disabled and/or autistic adults. Accessibility in the arts is a continual focus in my practice.”

I love all forms of creative expression, especially photography, oil and gouache painting, and digital illustration. My partner, Amy, and I have spent the last two years designing a board game called Restless Spirits. It features a range of whimsical and strange spirit creatures inspired by obscure myths and folklore from around the world.”

Zsofia Piukovity

Mixed media

“I am a visual artist working primarily with mixed media and graphic art. My practice explores a range of sociological themes such as identity, culture, and human interaction, with a strong emphasis on environmental awareness. I reflect this by incorporating materials such as scraps, upcycled materials, and recyclable elements into my work. I aim to further develop my practice by gaining experience in community-based arts. Here I can engage with people’s stories and experiences, create visual representations of them, and involve as many individuals as possible in the creative process.”
