Meet the organisers behind Kirkstall Art Trail.

Stephen Cole is the man behind the camera, and took the fabulous photographs for the fashion show runway in 2024. We find out more about him and his other roles with Kirkstall Art Trail.

What role do you have?

This is my first year actually officially helping to organise. I helped with the first fashion show last year and building on from that I am managing this year’s fashion show whilst also curating artists in the abbey. I am also organising the photo competition.

When did you first become involved?

I first became involved in 2022. It will be my third year exhibiting.

What do you enjoy about Kirkstall Art Trail?

I love discussing my work with members of the public and the whole event fosters a rare tangible feeling of community. Expanding my network of known artists is also very special.

How long have you been practising your style of art?

I have been a photographer for over 40 years. However, my first public exhibition was in Mandy Long’s living room at the 2022 Art Trail. I have since had four public exhibitions. I mainly take portraits but also produce landscapes.
