Advent calendar windows
The Advent Trail has been a feature in Kirkstall since 2020, with many creative neighbours taking part each year. We pride ourselves on the talent on show, as well as the trail being a friendly event where anyone can take part. Houses across Kirkstall will light up their windows with colourful designs as we unveil a new window each day in December.
For those unable to visit in person, you can follow on social media. We reveal window designs each evening on the Kirkstall Advent Instagram and Facebook page. You can also follow with our interactive map and find out where the next window will be revealed.

Taking part
You must be a resident within the ‘village’ area of Kirkstall – this is the area close to St Stephen’s Church.
You can either be a host window or design one yourself. We welcome artists of all skills; you do not need any experience, only commitment.
If you want to design a window but do not live in the area, we will partner you with a resident who has offered to host a window.
