Ceramic sculpture
“I have lived and created art in Kirkstall for the past twenty-five years. I’m now also part of the collective of six sculptors who run The Sculpture Gallery in Leeds Corn Exchange. I work in paperclay and then either raku or smoke-fire my sculptures, which are often inspired by movement. I’ll be opening my home and studio, so a wide range of my work will be on show, along with my paintings, which have given me a lot of pleasure to create.”

“I draw colourful, bright illustrations with Molotow acrylic paint markers. I am inspired by all things nature. Whether that is the bucolic Yorkshire countryside, bugs and beetles from across the world, or fabulous houseplants in marvellous pots. I also take photos. I have a BA (Hons) in Photography from the 2010s (digital) and an HND from the 1990s (film). My photographic work tends to focus on typologies and the repetition of form. I am fascinated by the minutiae of things. I collect images; a series can take form over a number of years.”
