This selection of images, chosen by our judging panel, shows how differently photographers interpreted the three competition categories: ‘Wild Kirkstall’, ‘People of Kirkstall’, and ‘Unexpected Kirkstall’. As well as the winners and runners-up, the gallery includes additional photographs that caught the judges’ eye.
We would like to thank our judges – Hannah Platt, Jonathan Turner, Rosie Dutton, and Stephen Cole — for generously giving their time and expertise to the competition.
The winning photographs will be on display at Kirkstall Leisure Centre (Venue 21) during the Art Trail on 18 and 19 July. Then, the exhibition will move to Butlers, Kirkstall Forge (Venue 25), from 20 July to 12 August.
In 2027, we hope to offer photography workshops that explore different ways of seeing Kirkstall. The workshops will culminate with an exhibition of participants’ work during the 2027 Art Trail. Sign up to our newsletter and follow us on social media to stay up to date.
