Bird & The Hare
Textiles / jewellery
“I work with brass, copper and enamel and create pictures and jewellery inspired by nature. I create punch needle pieces, linocut prints, and more recently mini mosaics. The materials and processes I use are forever changing in order to keep my work fresh and new. The underlying themes of my work are always a good use of colour and nature. This year I will be joined by my mother Josephine who creates prints and mosaic pieces.”

“Hello, I am Kayleigh Wiechula, the maker and creator of The Crafty Cat Leeds. I completed a degree in Theatre and Performance at the University of Leeds in 2016, and I am now a full-time primary school teacher. Being creative is my joy! I make art by knitting, crocheting and sewing, as well as creating framed embroidery pieces and card crafts. I look forward to seeing you on the Kirkstall Art Trail 2026!”

Dave Lynch
Photography / photo manipulation
“I am an amateur photographer working with photo manipulation as an art form. Focusing mostly on nature and architecture, I use mirroring techniques and image editing software to transform an original image into something entirely different. This generally leads to surreal or even psychedelic-looking images. My goal is to manipulate the perspectives to create something unexpected and hopefully unique.”
