About the 2025 Fashion Show
In a continuation of the theme from last year, the 2025 Fashion Show focused on environmental sustainability. Designers were tasked with creating eco-friendly outfits for the catwalk, using textiles bought from charity shops, swapped, given for free, or made from offcuts – reusing preloved clothes and saving fabric waste from landfill.
Designers Jackie Peck, Helena Angstmann, and Jax Temple-Smees represented Leeds Hospital Charities. All three volunteer as upcyclers with the charity’s shop in the Merrion Centre. Along with other volunteers, they remake clothes that can’t be sold and are on their way to landfill. Transforming, embellishing, and updating these clothes to put them back into circulation.
