2026 Fashion Show application

The popular sustainable Fashion Show is returning for 2026. Now in its third year, we look forward once again to showcasing your designs at the magnificent Kirkstall Abbey.

The brief

To inspire your creativity, this year the theme will be ‘Dreamscape‘.

We are inviting 30 designers to take part in our upcycled fashion show.

All materials must be second-hand, recycled, or sourced for free.

Rehearsal dates

Sunday, 12 July

Please keep this day free for a walk-through and technical rehearsal. You will not need to bring finished garments for this.

Saturday, 18 July

There will be one last rehearsal before the main show.

Key information

• The deadline for applications is Friday, 3 April 2026.
• You can apply as an individual or as a pair. Please apply with one form and use the comments section to let us know any further details.
• We use WhatsApp to help create clear communication with everyone and to simplify organisation. Providing your number means we can add you to the Fashion Show private group chat.
• We will have an in-person meeting in early January. This is a chance to meet other participants and share your ideas. More details to follow.

Display your work

We would love to display your hard work and show your outfits after the show.

This will be a great opportunity for visitors to see your work and chat with you. Be sure to bring your business cards, and share your social media and websites with visitors.

Raffle donation

There will be a raffle to raise funds for the art trail. We will welcome any donation of work from participants.

• You must apply before the deadline on Friday, 3 April 2026.
• By applying, you enter into an agreement that:
  • we can take photographs or videos of your design/garments as presented on the catwalk.
  • we can use them for relevant promotional purposes.
  • without payment to you.
  • without seeking your further approval.
• The promotions may include the use of these images on the internet. We may store the images in a digital format for this purpose.
• By applying, you consent to Kirkstall Art Trail processing your personal data for the purpose of the 2026 Fashion Show and as described in the Privacy Policy.
• The Fashion Show is free to enter.
• You will be expected to supply and fund your own materials.
• By applying, you must commit to attending all rehearsals. (Rehearsals allow us to identify and fix potential issues, technical glitches, and staging logistics.)
• The Fashion Show is open to all ages. However, if you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent for your entry into the Fashion Show and to these Terms and Conditions.
