Time: doors open at 5.30pm

Name: Chérie Taylor Battiste

Artist Bio: “I am a poet, playwright and a former TV researcher and actress.  Early in my career I won a Norman Beaton Fellowship and project managed the embedding of creative learning in schools with CapeUK. Finding myself a lone parent of two, and as austerity hit, I returned to poetry, which I pursue as freedom, to share my experiences and as a rare opportunity to have an uncensored cultural voice. My first collection Lioness was published by Valley Press in 2019.”
